Right click on the taskbar at the bottom of the screen.

Click "Task Manager" to load the Task Manager.

Click the "New Task..." button to start a program on your computer. You can select the program's icon from its place on your hard drive, or if you know the name of the program's executable file, you can simply type it into the box.

Close an open computer program by clicking on it and then selecting the "End Task" button.

Free up available RAM on your computer by clicking on "Processes," then clicking on the name of a process that is taking up a lot of memory (as indicated by the Mem Usage column), then clicking the "End Process" button.

Click the "Users" tab to see a listing of user accounts signed into your computer. Click on the name of a user account and then click the "Logoff" button to sign that user out of their account.

Click the "Shut Down" drop-down menu to put your computer in "Stand by" mode, restart it, turn it off or instantly switch to a different user account.
